Tecnam delivers first P Twenty-Ten four-seater

Post by LUFTY » Tue Apr 07, 2015 8:07 pm

Italian manufacturer Tecnam has delivered the first of its all-new P Twenty-Ten four-seater to a customer in the Middle East.

The P Twenty-Ten is a direct rival to the Cessna 172 with an all-carbon fibre composite fuselage and a metal wing and tailplane/fin assembly. This combination is also used on Tecnam’s successful P2006T twin and P2008 two-seater.

It is powered by a 180hp Lycoming IO-360 fuel-injected engine – just like the current C172 – and can be fitted with either an analogue package of instruments (ie, normal gauges), a Garmin G500 ‘glass cockpit’ with Garmin GTN 650 navcomms, or a full-blown Garmin G1000 package.

The first P Twenty-Ten, registered ‘A7-TBA’, was delivered directly from Tecnam’s Capua, Italy production facility to Qatar based ‘Aviation Home’ at Al Khor Airport.
